2021 Conference: COVID update

Due to current COVID-19 developments and in order to ensure the safety of our attendees and presenters, the West Virginia Association of Museums' annual conference will now be held virtually. Tune in from anywhere March 22nd through 26th for workshops, panels, and presentations fitting the theme “Stayin’ Alive: Sustainability, Relevance, and Culture.”

Registration for participants will open in 2021, but if you are interested in presenting virtually please fill out our session proposal form: https://forms.gle/9qmNroo9sh45fyvK7. We are now accepting proposals for papers, presentations, and workshops addressing collections care and management, interpretation, non-profit management, grant writing, exhibit design, fundraising, and emergency preparedness. As always, we are also accepting session proposals which address conservation, history, and preservation-related issues. We especially encourage hands-on sessions that can be presented virtually and will teach our members new skills.

The deadline for submission of proposals is December 31, 2020. Feel free to contact museumsofwv@gmail.com with any questions or ideas.

Hope to see you all virtually in 2021!
